v73

There’s a new legal Safari beta. I haven’t really banged on it yet, but there seem to be improvements (over the ancient v60) everywhere.

is this v62? meaning, should I whack my v62 install for this? :) btw: how do you specify mime types et al for safari? I found that v62 no longer notices when I click a .pls or .ram to spawn out the appropriate playa. any thoughts? -tp

Definitely whack your v.62 install for this new beta. It's got loads of fixes over that build. For setting protocol helpers, I use "More Internet", from http://www.monkeyfood.com/software/moreInternet/

Just as most issues are seldom black or white, so are most good solutions seldom black or white. Beware of the solution that requires one side to be totally the loser and the other side to be totally the winner. The reason there are two sides to begin with usually is because neither side has all the facts. Therefore, when the wise mediator effects a compromise, he is not acting from political motivation. Rather, he is acting from a deep sense of respect for the whole truth. -- Stephen R. Schwambach
