French Connection - Simon Stinger [✯✯✯✯]


This week’s selection is pretty fun. It’s pretty much 80’s throwback new wave, which would be rather tough to screw up. Probably the most obvious touchstone here would be the B-52s, circa Whammy. Apparently the band has quite an interesting stage show.

Not saying the band are 80's throwbacks, but the song I heard was definitely one. I can say that, I was there, bud, I owned the parachute pants and feather roachclip to prove it. And the B-52s of the time period that these guys were channeling on this single most assuredly *did not* suck.
